Good morning to you all! Well, that was quite a day yesterday. What a nice adventure. It all started when Michelle found out that we had forgotten some things in the Netherlands. Not highly necessary things, but a great excuse to go exploring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So hop in the cab and off to \"La Isla Plaza. And holy sh#t, a plaza it was. Only the best brands on one side, and food and famous chains on the other. We saw everything passing by, from Bvlgari, to Victoria's secret. From Hublot and Tissot to Dior and YSL. very cool to see, and very cool to not spend money. \ud83e\udd23<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pffff what prices. Anyway, so we were walking there and suddenly out of nowhere we came upon a little taco restaurant that Michelle recognized from the videos we had watched on youtube at home. \"Tacos and Tequilas\" flaunted on the colorful yet very plain sign. The name was a sharp clue to what we would find inside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so we headed inside. Looking for what the sign promised us. Hola Amigos<\/em>, it suddenly sounded. Johnathan welcomed us and proudly showed us the, the beachfront, establishment seeing. Your table is here Se\u00f1orita<\/em>, Michelle was told while gesturing busily to a nice table with a nice view. Some colorful chairs were ready, so we took our seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you like a drink to start?<\/em> Michelle's gaze crossed mine and we knew this was THE time and place for...... Mexican Fanta!!! \ud83d\ude0e<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Less than two minutes later, Johnathan came back smiling with a look from which we could read that he understood why we ordered this fanta. With a broad smile we got the fanta we had chatted about so many times in Holland. What a party in the glass that was. So after 25 years, Mich finally had her Mexican Fanta again. A sound followed that had not bored through the heat into an advertisement for a cold drink. How delicious this was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now the time had come. After a brief conversation with Johnathan, the choice was made and we had ordered two foursomes of Pebil and Pastor tacos. Now just waiting......<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And suddenly there he was again, but this time with our appetizer , handmade nachos and dips. With the warning that the green one could be spicy. Friendly I informed the best man that we were used to something, and this was apparently not for the faint of heart. Oh amigo you and se\u00f1orita like the spicy? Then I bring you another salsa it is like a level 4. <\/em>With a grin, Johnathan disappeared only to return within a minute. In front of us, near our nachos he set down a small bowl of sauce.... Se\u00f1or, this is the salsa, but be careful it might be hot. <\/em>So without hesitation Michelle myself grabbed a nacho and started dipping. The Habanero flavor filled my mouth and a small flame grew into a pleasant taste sensation and my mouth dancing the Macarena. This was bizarrely delicious and actually not that super spicy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And se\u00f1or, you like? <\/em>Sounded from a distance. Yes amigo let me guess, this is the fresh Habanero? <\/em>I asked him. S\u00ed se\u00f1or, muey caliente!!! <\/em>Johnathan told us. We love it! <\/em>Was my answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then it was on to the tacos. On homemade tortillas. And wow! What a deliciously festive meal. Small tacos filled with meat, vegetables and fruit. Topped with cilantro and lime. How delicious this was. Authentic, small, full of flavor and super tender. This was an experience that was unforgettable. In a prime location, with the love of my life and the sun in my face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After solemnly promising Johnathan to definitely come back we continued on our way. Waving, we walked away having eaten and drunk deliciously for about three tens. What an experience! Thanks Johnathan<\/em> !!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
